Little Wing Amphitheater
The South Fork Music Association is currently working with Rio Grande County, the South Fork Vision Council and several enthusiastic residents to acquire land and build a world-class music venue to Rio Grande County. Check back often for updates on our progress!
Creede resident and architect, Peter Calandruccio, has designed and built the Little Wing scale-model. An avian theme is achieved via the curvilinear roof line. Peter's beautiful design pays homage to the 'floating waves of sound' that music creates.
Rio Grande County will be submitting a 'R&PP' application to the U.S. Forrest Service to lease a piece of land currently under BLM jurisdiction. This land has been illegally used as a garbage-dump in the last 40 years. We are committed to not only cleaning up this natural amphitheater but utilizing it for public benefit.
